SS Hugin

SS Lake Edon (1918-1918) was an American cargo ship, loaded with coal and on voyage from Barry, Wales. She was torpedoed by German submarine U-107, 4 miles NE of Towan Headland, Newquay. 18 men were lost. The wreck now sits at 35m-40m.

SS Siracusa 1879-1897. Głębokość maksymalna 36m. Zbudowany jako SS Bavaria, a następnie przemianowany na SS Siracusa był parowcem przewożącym ładunek węgla. Podczas mijania Newquay został złapany przez sztorm i rozbił się u wybrzeży Towan Headland.

Little Fistral is off the western side of Towan Headland and is a shallow reef site with a sandy bottom - perfect for entry-level training and snorkelling. Some interesting rock formations and swim throughs can be found.

Gazzle znajduje się w Newquay Bay & Gannel Marine Conservation Zone. Jest to płytkie nurkowanie przybrzeżne, maksymalna głębokość - 10 m podczas przypływu. Stopniowo pogłębiający się piaszczysty stok z kelpyrową rafą i obfitością życia morskiego. Gazzle (północ) - rafa kelpyjska, jaskinie. Gazzle (Południowa) - Kelp/rafa koralowa, jaskinie, stara pochylnia.

Dane Rock is located just around the corner from Newquay Harbour. It is a shallow reef site with a maximum depth of 8m. An ideal site for entry-level diver training

SS Tagona (1908-1918) was a defensively armed Canadian merchant steamer. Torpedoed on 16th May 1918 by German submarine U-55 when 5 miles WSW of Trevose Head on passage from Bilbao to Glasgow with a cargo of iron ore. The Captain and seven of the crew were lost.

Lewinnick Reef boarders the coast on top of which sits Lewinnick Lodge. Maxing out at a depth of 10m makes it a perfect site for training. It also has some interesting topographical features including gullies and swim-throughs!

Goose Rock is a kelp/rocky reef only accessible by boat. An ideal site for entry-level training as the maximum depth is between 8-10m. For the more experienced diver, small caverns and more depth can be found on the western side of the rock.

Seal Cove, also referred to as Chick Rock, is a site only accessible by boat. It is a haul out spot for grey seals and one of our most popular sites amongst divers. Please note that this site can only be dived at high tide to limit disturbance to the seals.
