Bluff Point (Small Gubal island)

One of the most beautiful wall / drop off dive sites in this area . Untouched coral reefs with both soft and hard coral. There is a current most of the time, therefore this is always drift dive. This site is recommended only for more experienced divers.

Ulysses, wreck

This wreck sunk at the Gubal Island and lays on its left side. The bow is about 5m and the stern in 27m deep. The wreck is full of glassfish and the mast is covered with beautiful soft coral. This wreck is easy to explore, however, strong currents can sometimes be expected.

Siyoul Lagoon

2 hours in the north direction are the Siyoul Islands with different and nice dive sites. Siyoul Lagoon is on the north side of Siyoul Soraya Island. It has a nice main reef and a nice plateau/coral garden which you can reach through a small channel.

Shaab el Erg

This dive site is the section of coral reef which makes up the channel of Dolphins House Reef. It is a 1 hour and 10 minute ride northeast of El Gouna. The site has a max depth of 10m and is full of soft coral and anthias fish. There are nice pinnacles with sloping coral gardens nearby.

El Gilwa

2 hours in the north direction are the Siyoul Islands with different and nice dive sites. El Gilwa is on the westside of the Siyoul Kebir Island and has a lot of nice coral blocks covered in soft corals. Sometimes there can be a strong current here.

Siyoul Soraya

The ’small brother’ for Siyoul Kebir, this site is almost 2hours from Elgouna to the north. It is a nice and easy dive, suitable for all level of divers, starting from 2-3 m deep to 14-15 m deep. There is a possibility for a drift dive and to meet some dolphins and eagle rays.

Siyoul Kebir

Siyoul Kebir, also known as Ras Siyoul, is on the Siyoul Island, about 1 hour and 45 minutes to the north of Elgouna. This dive site its suitable for all levels with nice coral reefs and 2 nice big blocks of corals under the mooring line full of anthias fish. Sometimes there is a current which can be used for drift dives.

Shag Rock (Kingston)

Shag Rock is a nice reef with the Kingston wreck laying at just 15 meters deep. This dive is suitable for every level of diver. With the wreck sitting not very deep, you have wonderful lighting during the day, so bring your camera!

Giannis D, wreck

The most breathtaking wreck in the Abu Nuhas area. Very popular with UW photographers. The bow is in only 10m of water. The stern’s max depth is 25m. The stern is laid on its left side, which can throw divers off a bit when they dive through. The engine room is a spectacular sight, full of glassfish, and the mast and anchor winch are full of soft coral.

Chrisoula K., wreck

One of the four famous wrecks located on the Abu Nuhas reef. It’s about 2 hours and 40 minutes to the north of Elgouna. The bow sits at 4m deep and the stern about 27m. This wreck carries a lot of tiles. The body of the wreck is still in good condition. Exploring the captain’s cabin and the engine room are exciting for the adventurous diver.
