PETIT MALENDURE

Shallow site but rich in juvenile fish, crabs that wander on the sand as well as morays and snappers in the open water. If you are observant, you may even be lucky enough to see barracudas passing by. If you take the time to look around, you will find many small creatures.

Jardin Japonais

An alternation of sand, coral, and rocks, this is one of the richest dives in the area. And as a bonus there is a tunnel at 13m, just under the anchorage to finish the dive.

Anse Negressee is the best-hidden dive site in Malendure. Overhung by cliffs, this site offers a gentle slope between corals and sandbanks that allows a nice dive.

Epave Franjack, wreck

This hourglass freighter 50 m deep was built in Denmark in 1958. It sailed to Copenhagen and then to La Rochelle in the 70s. The Franjack lies flat on her keel on a sandy bottom at 24 m in good general condition except for the forward cabin which is collapsed.

Tour du Petit Ilet

The tour of the little island can be done from 2 different dive sites: Swimming Pool or the Coral Garden. This dive can be done at different depths on a drop-off that descends to 40 meters. Beginners, as well as experienced divers, can dive this site in complete safety.

Epave du Gustavia (Wreck)

This hourglass freighter of 49 m by about 7.50 m was launched in 1953 under the name of GEOCEANIQUE and renamed GUSTAVIA in 1982. After a thorough clean-up, she was sunk as an artificial reef in 1991 about 1 mile from the Malendure rock at Bouillante, the wreck lies upright on a sand bottom at 40 m.
