Diving in Egypt
Egypt is mostly made up of desert with the exception of the Nile River which flows through it. The Nile is the longest river in Africa and, along with the Amazon, one of the longest in the world. The majority of Egypt’s agriculture is focused along the Nile’s banks and on its delta. The official language of Egypt is Arabic, while English and French are also prevalent.
The Arab Republic of Egypt is a country that sits in the Northeast corner of Africa on the Mediterranean Sea to its north and the Red Sea to its east. It covers an area of around 1 million square kilometers (390,121 square miles) and has a population of 95 million people, making it the most populated country in the region, the third most populated in Africa, and the 15th biggest country in the world. Not only is Egypt home to one of the world’s oldest civilizations, its glorious beaches and the crystalline waters of the Red Sea have made it a top diving destination, with the chance to see a dazzling array of marine life.
