The Montola mine is an old limestone mine. The mine was closed in the 1970s. Today the mine offers limited diving at events organized by Montola miners. Diving is available in open water, cavern areas and caves. Driving address: Ruukintie 437, Pieksämäki.

Iso-Tiilijärvi

The dive site in the lake Tiilijärvi is about 15 minutes drive from the center of Lahti. You should leave your car in the parking area at the top of the beach.Do not drive to the beach, as this area is a recreation area for walkers, cyclists.

Kaatialan Luohos

The Kaatatiala quarry is located in Kuortane Lentilä, near the border of Alavus and Kuortane. In 1942-1968, feldspar and quartz were taken from the open pit. According to Kaatiala, the first Kaatiaite mineral found in the world was named in the quarry.

Hälvälä Louhos

This dive site is an abandoned quarry that is now filled with freshwater. One end of the quarry is shallow and suitable for recreational divers. Whereas the other side is only for technical divers. The quarry depth starts at 5 meters and goes more than 200 meters deep!

Paakkila Louhos

This is a great dive site for all types of diving from beginner to cave diver. There are two quarries here connected by a 120 meter long tunnel. The open water area has a maximum depth of 30 meters. The side tunnel is 25 meters deep.

The Kisko open pit is located in Salo, about a 1.5-hour drive from Helsinki. The rail is a great place to practice ice diving and we will use this of course if you need to do exercises on the 18m deeper side, but don’t really need any mega deep.
