Mas Thila means as much as fish mountain. One thing is for sure - the name is program! Starting from its topreef at 8 meters the reef goes down far beyond 30 meters at some places...

Velassaru Caves is a beautiful spot on the outside reef of south Male Atoll’s northern tip. The name is given by the dive site location in combination with several overhangs spreading from depth levels between 10 to 30 meters.

A spectacular dive site located in the south-east of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. Giraavaru Caves is located at a channel mouth and can therefore be affected by strong currents. The dive site itself is most interesting in between 5 and 25 meters where it is dominated by caves and overhangs.

Dragon’s Mouth is an old time classic (and also favourite) that is located on the outside reef of North Male Atoll. The dive site itself is a well-protected inlet on the outside reef offering a number of caves.

One of the most popular dive sites in South Male Atoll due to healthy corals and amazing fish life. There are olorful hard corals, soft corals, and fans on a series of large overhangs. Do not miss the narrow passageway between the broken block and the main reef known as Called Canyon.

This is a great site for beginning divers and advanced alike. This house reef is easily accessible from shore and filled with marine life.

Small Giri (shallow reef platform) located in a system of many Giris. The reef top is at 1-3m and slopes gently down. You can cross from one Giri to the other but the visibility is not very good usually.

This wreck site requires a short swim from the nearby reef “Kuda Giri“ to reach it. This well-preserved wreck sunk in 1994 and is teaming with marine life. The wreck top is located at around 20m, and the propeller is located around 33m. Torch highly recommended as the colors will prove to be vibrant with light.

Moon Valley is located very close to Kuda Haa in the same channel to the south-east of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. Moon Valley is situated directly at the channel mouth. Moon Valley is a great channel dive site that is often conducted as a (gentle) drift dive along a wall.

Kuda Haa consists of two connected thilas that can easily be spotted from the surface. One thila starts at 6 meters and the other one at around 14 meters. Both of them slope down to a sandy bottom at 30+ meters. Kuda Haa is a legendary site which many divers have dubbed as fish soup.
