Flynn Reef - Coral Gardens

Positioned 20 kilometres east of Green Island off the Cairns coast, Flynn Reef is home to several dive sites - with the Coral Gardens being just one of them.Located on the outer reef this site has consistently good visibility of close to 30 metres.

Location: Flynn Reef Maximum Depth: 22m Visibility: 15m. Site: Gordon’s Mooring has some great swim-throughs and overhangs amongst the variety of smaller bommies. Features a wide range of corals such as brain and plate and diverse marine life including large established giant clam gardens

Central, Breaking Patches

Offers a lovely shallow wall with picturesque beauty, making it an easy site to navigate. Shallow sand patches are perfect for skills and macro diving. The western wall does offer a little more depth but is also known to have some strong currents coming through.

Hastings Reef Blue Lagoon

Wall feature up to 20m deep, shallow on top. It has a sandy patch where you can see heaps of sea cucumbers. It is a really good site to find small and interesting things around.

Hastings Reef - Fish Bowl

Right at the edge of Hasting Reef, south part, Fishbowl has a nice coral wall that offers a variety of diving and snorkeling experiences. An abundance of fish at its shallowest is what gives it its name. Easy navigation with the wall makes it a great dive site for new and advanced divers.

The name of this site comes form its many bommies that exist away and split off from the reef. It is located at the southern end of Hastings Reef and offers shallow waters, ideal for snorkeling and beginner divers.

Dive site for all different levels. It is call tree peak because an old tree underwater and corals had grown all over it. It is a beautiful place in the shallows with hips of colours to enjoy.
