
Ras Abu Soma

The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall.
Chance of big fish is given, so encounters with gray reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, guitarfishes, stingrays, eagle rays, and hammerhead sharks are possible.
