Gray Quarry is a 501-c3 non-profit organization that seeks to promote the sport of scuba diving by providing a safe family-friendly fun environment for recreational scuba diving and training. All money from dive entry fees goes to maintaining the quarry and making dive site improvements.

The Sandbar Site is a local favorite for boaters. It’s a large area in the lake that is very shallow, coming within 3 ft. of the surface. Many boats will raft together for a day of partying on the lake.

Snow Creek Truck

Here you will find a Submerged 2006 Nissan 4 door pickup in 23’ of water. The truck is stuck in silt up to the wheel wells. A great dive but can be murky due to all the silt in the cove.

Lake Hickory Scuba Sail Boat

This dive site contains several items to dive on including two training platforms, a basketball hoop, a jet ski, a sailboat, several satellite dishes, and other objects all linked together via ropes leading to and from the docks at the dive center.

This is a PDRA Quarry. It is membership owned and its deepest point the depth is around 96 ft. Surface temps range from 82 F in the summer to 40 F in the winter.

Lake Jocassee is a man-made lake. The lake is over 360 feet deep with visibility ranging from 20 feet to over 50 feet at depth. There are several ramps here, one is set aside for divers and there is enough to keep divers coming back again and again.

This site provides something for divers of all levels. While there are numerous sunken boats, the main attraction is the Chinese Junk imported decades ago and after multiple sinkings finally came to reset here. Other entertaining sites here include vending machines, tic-tac-toe table, and Halloween cemetery.
