Diving in Lake Erie

The shallowest, and warmest of all the Great Lakes is Lake Erie. Even though you’ll find warm waters, it’s recommendable that you dive in your drysuit or 7mm (.28-inch) neoprene wetsuit. Lake Erie is the perfect spot for divers of all experience levels. The western basin of Lake Erie alone is home to 286 shipwrecks. The Great Lakes Seaway Trail runs along the shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario; this trail offers impressive scenic topside views and has great dive sites with a variety of wrecks like the Islander, the Eagle Wing Group, and the David W. Mills, among many.
