Enriched Air Nitrox 32 Program Upgraded

SSI, the world’s largest professional dive business-based training agency, has upgraded Student Training Materials for Ecology and most of Recreational Specialty Diving Kits to now include the option for an Online Final Exam. With the new upgrade, Instructors are now able to conduct the Enriched Air Nitrox 32 program entirely online, as additional practical applications are no longer required.
The two required practical applications, Analyzing Cylinders and Calibration Review, are now only necessary for the full Enriched Air Nitrox 40 program. Changing the Enriched Air Nitrox 32 program standards were made because this rating is designed primarily for divers who wish to use EAN 32 only for additional safety while still using the air setting on their dive computer.
For an upgrade from
Enriched Air Nitrox 32 diver to Enriched Air Nitrox 40, the following steps are required:
- Complete the remaining Academic Session 4 and Practical Application Sessions: Analyzing Cylinders and Calibration Review as outlined in the Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor Manual
- Complete an Enriched Air Nitrox 40 Final Exam (written) with passing score of at least 80% or the Online Final Exam with 100%
