Near the border with Ter Apel (Groningen, Netherlands) lies Dankern. A lake with light blue water and a nice underwater park. Not much life, but the visibility and the nice objects makes up for this.

The so-called “Möllersee“ is located in Meppen, near Schlagbrückener See, and is a popular swimming lake on Panzerstraße. During the development of the northern outskirts of Meppen, a sand extraction site was created here, which has since developed into a near-natural lake.
