This flooded quarry in Markethill, County Armagh, offers sheltered diving conditions with depths reaching approximately 20 metres. The site provides excellent visibility at times, making it suitable for training, skill development, and recreational exploration in a controlled freshwater environment.

This site has small rock walls and reefs down to 15 meters. At 8m there is a large Admirality fisherman’s anchor which stands two to three mtrs off the seabed on the south side of this site.

This is a scenic dive site with a maximum depth of 20m. It is an active working pier, with boat traffic. Use of DSMB’s is recommended. Access to the site is by permission only from C & C Marine. it has a confined water training area with a sandy bottom suitable for entry level dives.

This is a sheltered training site easily accessible from the shore. A sandy intertidal area leads to a rocky outcropping covered in seaweed and kelp.

Located within Kilkeel Leisure Centre there is a pool that can be split into 2 sections. The beginner pool has a moveable floor that allows for a range of depths to be set. The maximum depth for this pool is 3m.

Shore dive on the remains of an old pier with pier foundations down to 24 metres. The highlight is a large frame at 18 metres nicknamed the monolith as it towers above the diver as you fin around it.

Wastwater, England’s deepest natural lake. Situated in the Lake District National Park this lake formed in a glacial valley 60m above sea level. It is 4.8km long, 500m wide and reaches depths of 79m at its deepest point. The lake is owned by the National Trust and is a popular tourist destination.

Shire dive located off the waterfront of the Harbour cafe in Holyhead. The area starts off mostly sand, with kelp and rocky areas the deeper you head out into the area.

Ravenspoint is a bay located on Anglesey. The site is sheltered, however outside of the bay can become quite rough and tidal if dived at the wrong time. It is important to make sure that the dive is planned correctly.

Capernwray is the North-West’s inland dive site frequented by many divers and schools. Tends to open at weekends and from thursdays in the winter and on wednesdays through to evening in the summer.
