Sunabe Beach is a point in Chatan Town, about a 40 minutes drive north from Naha City. With a beach entry, the water depth is around 20 meters at most. The average clarity is about 15 meters. It is also often used for beginners for trial diving and certification courses.
You’ll find damsels such as rock damsels, cross damsels, falcon fish, clownfish, hammerhead clownfish, and the clownfish modeled after Nemo. If you proceed offshore to the sand, you can also see rare gobies such as the Yashia Goby and the Hirenaga threadfin goby, as well as jawfish.
