Kadena North in central Okinawa is a beach-entry site with depths to 20m (avg. 10m). Its calm sandy bottom and colorful soft corals host symbiotic gobies, crustaceans, pufferfish, dogtooth scorpionfish, and longnose hawkfish, making it enjoyable for both beginners and advanced divers.

Mizugama in Kadena, Okinawa, is a year-round dive site with a calm sandy bottom, lush soft corals, and a stunning underwater cave. With shallow 10m zones for beginners and drop-offs for advanced divers, it hosts clownfish, Yasha gobies, frogfish, and stays diveable even in north wind conditions.

This dive site is situated near the green marker of Hija Fishing Port, located to the north of the Hija River mouth. It features a large reef that stretches from east to west across the sandy seabed. The shallow areas, about 5 meters deep, are dominated by soft corals, while the deeper regions to the south have a sandy muddy bottom. Notably, on the deepest part of the western side, there is a peculiar boulder that resembles granite, often referred to as a “stone circle.“ This may have been a tombstone from a ship’s cargo that ended up in this location for unknown reasons.

This site is a 10 minute boat ride from Toya Fishery Port. The depth range is 5m to 18m. There is no current and many snorkelers and beginning divers can enjoy this site. This spot is known as Kumanomi (Anemone Fish) Paradise. As the nickname shows, there you can see many & various species of anemone fish.

Sunabe Beach is a point in Chatan Town, about a 40 minutes drive north from Naha City. With a beach entry, the water depth is around 20 meters at most. The average clarity is about 15 meters. It is also often used for beginners for trial diving and certification courses.

Ubanta in Yomitan, Okinawa, offers a dynamic drop-off, complex roots, and an underwater cave with sea stars, migratory fish, and cave life—best for intermediate divers. Nearby Ubanta Beach is a quiet spot with clear water, white sand, and stunning sunsets.

This dive site is located on the Miyagi Coast of Chatan Town, Okinawa Prefecture. Located in front of the Chatan Water Treatment Plant, there is a device that inhales and exhales seawater at a depth of about 13 meters. It looks like a UFO. When the water purification plant is in operation, warm water is produced from this underwater device, which makes the water around the site a little warmer. Boat diving and shore diving are available.

Dive Site Name: Tetra MaeThis point is located at the entrance of the Tsuya fishing port, adjacent to the tetrapods of the Ichimonji breakwater. The sandy bottom is beautiful and the huge tetrapods are spectacular. Since the tetrapods have been turned into fish reefs, many underwater creatures can be seen. The site is relatively shallow, with a depth of about 4.5 meters. A large colony of Hamanomis is present, making this an ideal site for experience diving, training, and snorkeling. As long as there is no wind from the west, it is also suitable for beginner freediving lessons.

Torikago-Mushroom in Sunabe, Chatan, Okinawa, near Water Purification Plant Mae, is named for its birdcage- or mushroom-shaped seawater intake. At 5–15m depth and beach-accessible, it suits all levels. Soft corals surround schools of barracuda, butterflyfish, and spoonbills.

Sunabe Seawall in Chatan, Okinawa, is a beach-entry site with depths to 20m, ideal for all levels. Known as an “underwater flower garden” for its colorful soft corals, it also features a shallow-water underwater post, making it a fun spot even for beginner and experience divers.
