Whaleback Rock Bay, Similan Islands, offers a more sheltered dive experience than the pinnacle. It features a sloping reef with sand patches and scattered coral bommies. This area provides calmer conditions, making it suitable for a more relaxed dive or when currents are strong elsewhere.

An easy dive site on Island 8. You can dive in or out of the bay through a channel. You can only dive with little current, otherwise, you can only dive one way as a drift dive. In the shallow area it is very rocky then gets sandy in the deeper depths.

Nam Chai Bay, often a check dive site in the Similan Islands, is a sloping reef transitioning to a sandy bottom at 20-25m. It features granite boulders, healthy hard corals, and anemone gardens. Look for turtles resting on the sand and abundant reef fish.

The dive site Turtle Rock is located on the west side of island no. 8, Koh Similan. The dive site owes its name to a granite rock that looks like a turtle.

Southeast of Koh Bangu (Similan Island 9), is an easy reef dive perfect for all levels, with mild currents and depths to 20m. It’s famous for huge schools of snapper, vibrant hard corals, and swim-throughs. Look for blue-spotted stingrays and garden eels in the sand, plus occasional leopard sharks.

Waterfall Bay, Similan Islands, is a shallow, sheltered bay, often chosen for calm conditions and easy diving. It features a sandy bottom interspersed with scattered coral bommies and rock formations. Ideal for relaxed dives, particularly for beginners or for night dives due to its protected nature.

Island#9 is the most northern island of the main Similan island cluster. There are many dive sites around the island ranging from quiet bays, drift dives in channels, pinnacles of giant granite boulders, and sweeping reefs.

Eagle Rock, Similan Islands, is a dramatic dive site characterized by immense granite boulders forming impressive swim-throughs, tunnels, and canyons. It features a sloping reef with varying depths, offering diverse exploration opportunities. Currents can be strong, requiring experienced divers.

Breakfast Bend is a very elongated reef. It is slightly sloping with a max depth of 35m. The upper part is full of hard corals, then from 16/18m there is more sand with isolated coral blocks that are beautifully covered in glassfish.

Popular dive site, especially for night dives. It features a sloping reef, dropping from 5m to 35m+, with predominately hard corals. A notable highlight is the “Atlantis X“ wreck, a sunken liveaboard resting on the reef slope. Visibility is generally good, and currents are mild to moderate
