Shore or Boat Dive offers diverse diving opportunities, including the Turtle Cave (suitable for all levels, max 10m) . The Turtle Cave is good for drift dives and seeing fish life.

Two bommies submersed in 18m joined together creating a swim through. Starting at 6m on one and 10m on the other to a depth of 18m to the bottom. A photographer’s macro delight, and a dive to relax and enjoy. Great for beginners as there is plenty to see and explore as well as scattered reef all around.

This dive site has a wall running east/west starting at 10m and dropping down to 22m. Every dive you get to see something different in the way of marine life.

Bird Rock features a mix of shallow coral gardens, bommies, and gentle slopes with great visibility. Conditions are usually calm, making it suitable for most divers. The site’s varied terrain allows relaxed cruising or slow macro-focused dives, with plenty of nooks to explore around the bommies.

On 13 February 1879 the Ballina became grounded on the Hastings River entrance bar and the following morning the vessel was entirely swamped and broke in two. The Ballina’s cargo had already been thrown overboard in an attempt to float the vessel and all passengers and crew left the ship safely.

Boat Dive 10 m deep, only a few minutes ride from the shore, lots of kelp and fish life, very large area easy to get lost but not a long swim back to the boat,

Drift dive with Pool like entrance, sandy bottom, good for training dives, Tidal depended - Must dive in hight tide, Can have boat traffic in area.

Fish Rock Cave is the only true ocean cave dive in Australia, running 125 meters right through Fish Rock. Fish Rock is in the path of the EAC (East Australian Current) which usually floods the site with warm clear water, bringing a huge variety of temperate and tropical marine species.

Part of the Great Lakes Marine Park, is a sanctuary for endangered grey nurse sharks. Dive between the “crack“ in the island for incredible topography in an unforgettable dive site.

Steeper rocky ledges covered in sponges makes Halifax one of the most popular deeper/advanced sites to dive in Nelson Bay. The “Twin Bommies” (20m) offers a colourful carpet of sponges, gorgonians & ascidians. Max Depth = ~26m. Best dived on incoming to slack high tide.
