Jogashima is located at the southernmost point of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture, on the border of Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay. It can be reached by crossing the bridge. As it is quite close to the Tokyo area, it is very popular for day trip diving.

Very close to the center of the city and a popular spot for day diving. The dive site is about 10 minutes by boat from the harbor. It has roots in sandy soil at a depth of 30 meters. The wall of the rock is covered with soft corals, and a school of Yellowfin Damselfish is swimming around the wall.

Kanaya Sunset Beach in Futtsu, Chiba, is about an hour from Tokyo and offers views of Mt. Fuji and stunning sunsets. Underwater, it’s rich in macro life like nudibranchs and moss blennies, perfect for photography. Beginners can enjoy calm dives and practice in the on-site saltwater pool.

This spot is located at the tip of Tateyama on the Boso Peninsula. Boat diving only, with a maximum depth of 25m and an average of 15-16m, the bottom of the water is a mix of rocky reefs, gorota stones, and sandy terrain. Caution is needed as the flow can sometimes be fast.

Hasama Ocean Park is in the inner bay of Tateyama on the Boso Peninsula. There is a beach, but boat diving is the main activity. At “Takane“ point, about 5 minutes from the harbor, there is a shrine and a large torii in the water.

Ito is a relatively new point located in Tateyama, Boso Peninsula, Chiba Prefecture. You’ll see baited sharks and stingrays, as well as large groupers. Boat diving only. There are buoys at either end of a large, narrow root, and depending on the current, the fish will enter from one buoy and rise from the other.

It’s just a 3-minute walk from Hon Atsugi Station on the Odakyu Line. You’ll find a spacious parking area with a capacity for up to 410 cars (with a height limit of 2.1 meters), and the first 3 hours of parking are absolutely free. The facility operates in two shifts, starting at (1) 10:00 a.m. and (2) 4:00 p.m., with each shift allowing reservations for up to 5 hours (please note that this schedule may vary depending on the day of the week, so it’s advisable to confirm in advance). In case the on-site parking gets full, there are coin-operated parking lots in the vicinity. Additionally, a convenience store is conveniently located nearby for your convenience. When it comes to equipment, there is a loading dock at the back of the building for easy unloading. Moreover, equipment washing stations are available on the wall near the tables.

Triangle in Manazuru, Kanagawa, is an artificial reef made from a massive steel frame sunk during Iwa Ohashi Bridge’s construction. The 10m-high, 50m-wide structure teems with fish, from snappers and horse mackerel to colorful soft corals. Suitable for all levels, it offers both macro and wide diving sights.

It is the only inhabited remote island in Shizuoka Prefecture, about 10 km off the coast of Atami, which can be reached in 30 minutes by ferry. After crossing the island, you can go beach diving or boat diving.

Hayakawa in Odawara, Kanagawa, is a beginner-friendly beach site with easy Tokyo access. Its shallow, calm waters feature sand and artificial reefs, hosting horse mackerel, amberjack, seasonal migratory fish, and winter dango fish, offering year-round diving in varied styles.
