Adan Shimo, off uninhabited Akenashiki Island in the Keramas, is a 10-minute boat ride from Aka Island. With mild currents, 7–20m depths, and clear waters, it’s perfect for both beginners and training dives. Expect coral gardens, clownfish, spiny dogfish, goatfish, and nudibranchs like Adeyakami and Fujinami.

Ulunosachi on Zamami Island features a pastel coral “flower garden“ with depths up to 11m, ideal for beginners yet extending offshore for deeper exploration. Known for high sea turtle encounters, it also hosts debassa damselfish and pygmy seahorses. Diving here is guide-only.

Aman Beach on the west side of Zamami Island is a shallow, sandy site with calm waves, perfect for beginners and families. It’s great for snorkeling and experience dives, with a high chance of seeing sea turtles. Lush coral reefs and schools of tropical fish make it a relaxing, scenic spot.

Touma No. 2 on Zamami Island, Okinawa, is a sheltered bay dive site ideal for beginners, especially in winter when it’s protected from north winds. Its white sand and coral colonies host diverse marine life, including Debas pumice, garden eels, and leaf scorpionfish, making it a scenic and relaxing spot.

The Kerama Islands, dotted on the west side of Naha City in Okinawa Prefecture, are known as one of the best diving spots in Japan and are visited by divers from all over the world. Nishihama Beach, located west of Aka Island, one of the Keirama Islands, is a famous diving spot in the Aka Island area.

Site Under the Lighthouse, northeast Zamami Island, features depths of 3–22m in a calm cove, ideal for beginners. Rock walls hide crevasses and caves lit by sunbeams. Summer brings large snapper schools and predatory fish, while snappers, goys, and isobana can be seen year-round.

Butsubutsu Coral near Kabi-jima, Kerama Islands, is a calm boat dive site with white coral colonies resembling Buddha heads. With depths of 3–20m, the reef features table corals, isobana, and fish like Luris sparrowhawks and goatfish. Ideal for both beginners and experienced divers.

6-banzaki on the east side of Zamami Island offers 25m depths, clear Kerama blue waters, and varied topography. Ideal for all levels, it’s rich in marine life including clownfish and sea turtles. Vast Palau coral, sea fans, and isobana colonies make it great for macro and wide-angle diving.
