Sandy Channel is a Nebraska State Recreation Area. Water Depth is max 25 feet and is great for beginners, but yet enjoyed by experienced divers as well. Attractions include a statue reef, sunken boats, platforms, tower of tires. Aquatic life include bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, walleye and turtles.
Slanting contour of a variety of vegetation to a sandy silty bottom. The vegetation and underwater structures provide homes and gather place for the abundant aquatic life.
