Renggis Island

One of the most famous dive sites in Malaysia, Renggis Island is full of life. While the island above water looks fairly desolate of life, the underwater is abuzz with fish and various species of colorful hard corals.

Renggis is home to black tip reef sharks, hawksbill and green turtles, cuttlefish, angelfish, damselfish, barracudas and so much more!

Drop into the ocean and follow the sand, suddenly a beautiful reef full of hard corals appears in front of you. This dive site is ideal for a relaxed dive as it is small enough to slowly dive around it a few times, and usually has minimal current.

It might sound surprising but our jetty has become an amazing dive site. With the debris people throw over board and over the jetty a artificial reef was build which attracts an abundance of marine life. Shoals of juvenile fishes are seeking safety here, but the hunters are always around.

Location: In front of Juara Scuba Academy dive center. Can walk straight off the beach and dive into underwater experiences; Depth: 8m; Current: Sometimes mild current; Site: Sandy bottomed bay ranging between 2 - 5 m which moves into shallow fringing reefs.
