Bari’s Reef (31)

A small jetty runs along the northern section of this dive site where plenty of fish hide like octopus, crabs, lobsters, etc. An easily accessible shore dive suitable for all levels of divers.

This dive site lives up to its name: Something Special because it is just that. An incredible amount of biodiversity calls this reef home; it’s filled with an incredible mixture of hard and soft corals. The sandy areas have discarded rubble that acts as a fantastic artificial reef.

One of the most popular dive sites in all of Bonaire, Buddy’s Reef is a very easily accessible shore dive perfect for beginners to experienced divers. It sits right off the popular Buddy’s Dive Resort and is their house reef.

Yellow Submarine

Enter next to the pier at Yellow Submarine and head straight out to the reef. Top of reef is around 6 meters, bottom is around 30 meters. Watch out for boat traffic.

Captain Don’s Habitat is one of the most famous dive resorts in Bonaire. The house reef that sits right off from the resort is a very popular and easily accessible dive site with a healthy reef system and tons of marine life. A great site to have a night dive.

Cliff (26)

Cliff is considered one of the best dive spots on Bonaire for macro photography. Another easy entry shore dive this site does not disappoint as it has a wall running along the left side of the dive site that drops to over 22 meters.

Located in Hamlet Oasis south of Dive Friends Hamlet shop. Marked with a pin. Can be entered from Cliff dive site (Hamlet Dive Friends) or From La Machaca dive site (Captain Don’s).

Calabas Reef is the house reef for the popular Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and sits right out in front of it. A healthy reef system with lots of turtles, groupers and even a seahorse or two.

Just down the beach from its sister site, the Andrea II, the Andrea I is most well known for its beautiful coral formations from the plate coral that call this reef home. Easily accessible from shore, this is a shallow reef dive and great for snorkeling and beginning divers.

Unlike a lot of the shore dive locations on the island on Bonaire which have hard limestone entry points, 18 Palm is an easy sandy beach access point and two freshwater showers to rinse your gear at the end of your dive.
