Bassas Da India

Wildside of Bassas is in the direction of the nutrient rich currents -supplying the magnificent corals and fans with lots of rich warm nutrient water. Waves & currents can be strong on this side,

Southside of the Atoll is the lee side, where anchoring and stop overs normally take place. Diving from the boat onto the walls of the Atoll -going left or right have routes with much to see.

Big Walls, nice overhangs. Sharky area. Can drop off past 30m. Average depth around 22m. Not ideal with current. Not the biggest dive site but chances of big life down there is always a possibilty

Spectacular reef, as it stands one of the best reefs in Morrungulo, many more still to be found of course. Straight offshore from Peri-Peri Dive Camp. It takes around 30mins to arrive, possible to find dolphins and hammerheadsharks on the way.

What seems like a normal reef, offers a lot of ground to cover and discover still new rock formations independly of where the current takes you

Deep Northern Site, can get strong current out here, So much reef that doesn’t seem to end. lots of cleaning stations, pinnacles and overhangs. Possibilities of spotting big critters is endless.

Great site for all levels. Has a 10m top and drops off either side down to 26m. Generally a great second dive if the first was on one of the deeper sites like Matswa or Benchamrk

Really fun shallow dive, max 12m. Some really spectacular swim throughs, bring a torch along. Nothing quite beats the topography. Must be clam and flat on the surface

The top of the reef is located at depths ranging from around 21 to 32 meters, and it can be reached by boat in about 19 kilometers or a 35-minute ride. Bottom time on air will be 23 minutes, while with nitrox it extends to 32 minutes.

The reef consists of various ledges and sandy channels, with the upper parts serving as manta cleaning stations. Located approximately 17km away, which is about a 30-minute boat ride, this dive site has depths ranging from 21-28m, offering a bottom time of 31 minutes for air divers and 40 minutes for nitrox divers
