Batu Mumbang

Location: Small rock island - 5 minutes boat drive on the north east point of Juara Bay; Depth: 18m; Current: Sometimes there is a mild current; Two rocky islands to breach the surface water descending to the sandy bottom bay at 18m. The site has large boulder corals, rocky coral scape, overhangs.

On the North of Juara Bay, only 2 miniutes from Juara Jetty. On 2022, many new grown coral. Fishes start getting more and more, and the habitat is getting better. Hopefully it will become a better place soon!

Location: 2 minute boat ride on the North shore of Juara Bay; Depth: 15m; Current: None; Site: a shallow fringing reef leading to a sandy bottom, larger coral formations lead onto the rocky edge of the island

Location: 5 minutes boat ride east of Juara Bay; Depth: 40m; Current: Sometimes stronger current; Site: Large pinnacle rock formation found in the middle of the bay, soft and hard corals at the shallower end 9m-15m, feature walls and large boulders.

Location: 5 minute boat ride to the northern point of Juara Bay; Depth: 20m; Current: Surge can effect shallow areas; Site: Sloping coral reef ranging between 2 - 18m which moves onto sandy bottom with spot coral clusters, Some bouldering rock formations and large expanses of monoculture coral composition

Location: 5 minute boat ride east of Juara Bay; Depth: 18m+; Current: Sometimes mild current; Site: A gradual sandy bottom ranging between 5 - 8 m which moves into a beautiful sloping coral garden combined with a shear rock faced wall which can reach around 18 m.

Location: In front of Juara Scuba Academy dive center. Can walk straight off the beach and dive into underwater experiences; Depth: 8m; Current: Sometimes mild current; Site: Sandy bottomed bay ranging between 2 - 5 m which moves into shallow fringing reefs.

At the centre of Juara Beach, easy to reach and full of coral. Suitable for beginner and easy entry from shore. Mix with sandy bottom and coral base.

On the South of Juara, it’s a nice and calm bay that can hide from most of the waves, and the view from the bay is definitely a good place to take photos.
