Can have strong currents on the northern side of the rock, Usually very exposed to wind and swell. dives average between 7 to 20m. Easy to navigate.

HOME BAY - GMI

The western side of the Great mercury island, also a safe haven for boats to park and stay overnight. The scallop beds have been shut down until at least 2023 due to it being in very poor condition.

South east corner of great mercury island is a nice and long stretch of divable reef. Shallowest part is in the middle, but in general some excellent diving when you can get in. Extremely exposed to most wind and swell directions
