Black Rocks Lagoon

This dive site is one for everyone, inside the lagoon is a fish shallow bay with plenty of fish and kelp around the edges. the outer reef system are big pins with nice gullies to swim in. The outer reef is a deeper dive and is very exposed to wind, swell and current.

The Maori Lady is a great island to dive on with 3 different dive sites on the island. Each dive sight is completely different to the next with the island being able to shelter in most weather.

HUMBUG BAY

A Big bay with various dive sites on it. boulder and rocky out crops. Good fish life and a couple of caves underwater toward devils point. On the far east side of the bay there is a 3 level drop on to rocky reef.

Devils Point

Great deep diving country with current running on the outer pin dropping off past 30m. as you come towards the middle pin there is a belly that comes up to 5-8m good for doing safety stops. As you head towards humbug bay there is a lot of boulder area with deep cracks and holes and comes up to a couple of caves.

Just 20 mins by car or 30 mins in a boat, Opito bay is well known as a scallop bed although it has just been shut down for the next 2 years due to poor bed condition.

Matapaua Bay

Sandy Bay in the middle, Shallow reefs on either side. Great for beginner divers or OW1 and 2. During summer the bay can have heavy boat traffic so be careful. SE is the worst wind and swell for the bay.

Stanley Island is a great example of a variety of diving with pins surrounding it, a wall dive off the great wall of Stanley and great reef diving all around, it is a popular dive spot that always manages to supply.

Green island also known as the grave yard because of the amount of rocks that breach the surface of the water making it look as if they are tomb stones. also known to have claimed a couple of boats.
