Beacon Rock
- 3776
Beacon rock is located approximately 7miles west of the Ras Mohammed National Park. A large coral outcrop that fringes the Southern tip of a large lagoon of Sha’ab Mahmoud. On the Southern most tip of this fringing reef is a metal Beacon giving the site its name. This site is home to the wreck of the Dunraven.
A great spot for stonefish, schools of yellow saddle goatfish, glassfish, giant moray, scorpion fish, Red sea Lionfish and crocodile fish. Huge sea fans, and Porites coral heads too.
