A deep site prone to heavy current, Sevens Reef is only suitable for technical divers or highly experienced recreational divers. With depths ranging from 30m to 50m divers need to be trained and equipped for decompression diving. An open ocean site, it is well known for its large sharks and whales.
You can see bull sharks, sandbar whalers, Great White sharks, Tiger sharks, Humpback whales, Minke whales, Qld Groupers, Barracuda, Large schooling fish, and Turtles.
