The Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory is an astronaut training facility and neutral buoyancy pool operated by NASA and located at the Sonny Carter Training Facility, near the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

The Kraken wreck is located 58 nautical miles off Galveston, TX into the Gulf of Mexico. On January 20, 2017 Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Ship-to-Reef program successfully sunk the 371-foot cargo vessel. The reef site, designated as HI-A-424, encompasses an area of 80 acres to explore beyond the immediate feature.

Stetson Bank, located at the westernmost end of the sanctuary, is an oblong, mid-shelf bank made of uplifted siltstone and claystone. It was added to the sanctuary when Congress reauthorized the National Marine Sanctuaries Act in 1996.

Scuba Diver’s Paradise’s own Deep Water platform averaging 90 feet. Used to teach SSI’s Deep Diving course. The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, formerly known as Aquarena Springs, has been a local favorite for outdoor and water recreation. Due to protected and endangered species, water access is limited to those in scuba classes or volunteer divers who have completed the Center’s Volunteer Diving Program.

This dive site has a platform off shore with a boat tie up on the buoy. There are lines extending from the platform north and south and a line heading west to the deep platform.
