Ile d'Or

The “Ile d’or“ is the island that inspired Mister Hergé for his comic “Tintin and the Black Island.“ Located off Cap Dramont, its beautiful ocher colors continue underwater. The entire area offers a dozen dive sites for all levels of divers, including the most famous: The Pyramids.

Fauna and flora include typical Mediterranean species like carbon, scorpionfish, conger eels, and lobsters. Also, there is a diversified underwater landscape with a series of pyramids and arches.

Cap Dramont is a rocky cap of the Esterel montain with its ocher colors. There are many dive sites including “The Village“ which has the remnants of a village of houses, planned for a 1960’s underwater movie that was never shot .Max depth 25m.

The dive site “Lion of the Sea“ is one of the richest sites in fauna and flora of the Fréjus Saint Raphael region. The coral cave is about 30-33m deep. This dive may be coupled with a visit to the wreck “The Sailboat“ at 36-38m.

The Rock of “Lion de Mer“ or “Sea Lion“ is located in the bay of Saint Raphael and is quickly accessible by boat. This is one of the most beautiful sites of the Frejus Saint Raphael area, and is suitable for all diver levels. It allows you to observe all types of landscape: sand, herbarium, cave, and rock. You will need several dives here to discover all it has to offer.
