The lake offers mostly best visibility and less than 6 meters visibility is a rarity. A practice platform and various sights are sunk in the lake.

This great lake is 8 minutes from the local diving centers in Voerde - North Rhine-Westphalia. With a depth of up to 14 meters and various attractions such as: Several wrecks make this lake one of the most popular diving spots in the region.

The TauchRevierGasometer is the largest indoor diving training center in Europe, so almost all courses can be taught on site here. The diameter of the gasometer is 45 meters in diameter, with a water depth of 13 meters. Temperature depending on the season 6 to 26 degrees C. Visibility up to 25 meters. ​

GochNess is a fun quarry dive. Register through SAMsDIVING Dive Center before diving. Max depth is 26 meters, visibility 3-10 meters.

The lake is no longer managed by the diving center Jürgens-Tauchschule, as the city of Monheim has terminated the rights of use. There is no further diving operations.

The Widdauen Lakes were created from a former gravel pit. Diving depths of up to 27 meters can be reached. The entire site offers a good infrastructure with toilets, barbecue areas, spacious shelters and a good supply of parking spaces.

The Hitdorfer See is a former dredging lake just under 10 hectares in size; 473 meters long and 273 meters wide. The maximum depth is 18m. Due to gently sloping banks, the lake is suitable for beginners to dive. There are two training platforms at 5m and 9m depth.
