Big Brother East

South Plateau, extends from the southern tip of the Big Island. Beginning around 30m and extending some 500m south, this site sinks to 60m on the point. This plateau is around 20m wide and drops to over 80m off the sides. Current often flows from the north, making returning against current difficult.

Offshore Island with stunning reef walls all around it. Potentially very strong currents which can change throughout the dive so be aware of this. Drift diving and deep diving experience is essential. Make sure you also have an SMB on every dive.

Brothers Island, or El Akhawen, is a “must dive“ for every diver that visits Egypt. This dive site can be reached only via liveaboard boats. The location contains two islands, the small and the big island. This is a more advanced dive as it can have strong currents and deep drop-offs with lots of shark sightings.

Entry from the speedboat, with descent on a buoy. Beautiful coral blocks. On the top of these blocks is the largest anemone garden of El Quseir.

The entrance is like a drift dive, decending with out a rope. You start at a coral wall, followed by some beautiful coral blocks over sandy patches with seagrass

Beautifully overgrown wall, in the sandy bottom large coral blocks and a seagrass meadow with smaller beautiful coral blocks. Possibility of turtles.

Shore dive with the minibus. Entry through a hole in the reef roof directly into the reef at 10m depth. Beautiful coral garden with single reef blocks.

Beautiful reef in the south with magnificent soft corals and beautiful coral garden. Entrance and exit through a tunnel over the reef top.

Entry like a drift dive. At the beginning beautiful overgrown wall, followed by a gorgonian plauteau which ends in a beautiful coral garden.

Shore dive by minibus. Entry via a jetty. Entrance fee. Nice calm bay with lots of beautiful corals. Mostly only light current. Closed at the moment.
