Punta San Francesco

Dive site located on the border with the Protected Area of Giannutri not to be missed. Suitable for all diving levels and also for the conclusion of Open Water Diver courses.

Le Cerniette takes its name from the numerous groupers that can be encountered in this particular stretch of sea. It is one of the most visited dives in the Giannutri Marine Protected Area. Seabed that slopes gently from 10 meters to 25 meters up to the edge that descends to 50 meters.

From the name it is immediately deduced that the characteristic of this dive site is the presence of two beautiful natural arches placed on 5 and 12 meters. A tour for both advanced and beginners with a wall that drops down to 15 metres. Continuing on the Posidonia you slowly descend over 30 meters.

One of the most famous sites of the Lazio coast. This is a splendid shoal 1.5 miles off Sant’Agostino that rises from 38 meters to 24 meters. The area is completely colonized by red coral, paramuricee, and all the other inhabitants.

This shoal is highly appreciated by students and tourists for its proximity to the port of Riva di Traiano and for the possibility of significant sightings despite the simplicity of the dive. This site has a wall that goes down from 8 m to 18 m.

One of the most varied dives that can be carried out in the vicinity of the tourist port of Riva di Traiano, with a minimum depth of 10 meters and a maximum of about 27 meters, characterized by flat sand and rocks and rock tongues (canaloni) that are colonized by yellow gorgonians and red coral.

Great site for open courses, specialties, and for tourists thanks to the very rich backdrop of various biological forms, characterized by a vertical wall about 300 meters long which divides a platform on 8/10 meters from the bottom at about 20 meters.

Almost 2 miles south of Riva di Traiano, at the beginning of Capo Linaro, you will find this splendid “panettone“ about 100 meters long. It is very interesting in on the open seaside, as it is completely covered with red coral and full of ravines where conger eels and lobsters are found.
