Diving in Basse Terre

Dive into the waters of Basse Terre, where you can explore many different arches. Grande Terre is a flat island part, entirely made up of limestone rocks. This plateau was sculpted over thousands of years by the sea and has an original underwater architectural structure. The reef plateau slopes gently down to 8 to 9 meters (26 to 30 feet), and then quickly descends to a sandy bottom at 20 to 25 meters (66 to 82 feet). During your underwater explorations in this area, you will be able to pass under arches and enter caves. Another must-visit dive site is an aircraft wreck at 23 meters (75 feet) deep.
