Make sure you are able to comfortably enjoy colder temperatures with the right equipment.COURSE DESCRIPTIONDifferent exposure systems require different skills and with the Dry Suit Diving Course you will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving. You will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification after completing this program. It is recommended you own a drysuit prior to undertaking this course however you can opt to hire one for your course for an additional feePREREQUISITESAt least 10 years of ageOpen Water Diver certification or higherEQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTSAt our dive centre, we offer rental equipment on SCUBA hardware only. With this program, you can try a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs. It is a great way to experience what advanced diver training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Adventurer Program, you will try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor.With this trial program in specialty diving, you will have total freedom to explore.     This globally recognised certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalised training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification after completing this course.EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTSAt our dive centre, we offer rental equipment on SCUBA hardware only. If any of the questions are flagged as "Yes" you may need to gain medical clearance from a doctor prior to participating. Pleaseensure you complete this Medical Questionnaire before the start of your course to avoid delays or disappointmentYou must be able to swim 200 metres without stopping. There is no time limit for this and you may use any swimming stroke(s) you want.You must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes, again using any method(s) you want.DIVE MEDICALA dive medical may be required if you fall into one or more of the following categories:Those with an at risk medical condition; or are over 45 years of age; or have a body mass index (BMI) over 30 AND a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and88cm for females.If you fall into one or more of these categories you may need to consult your GP for further clearances.
