An inshore patch reef system with a variety of hard and soft corals which attract a variety of marine life. The smallest Special Protected Area (SPA) in the Florida Keys NOAA system. No touch or take of any kind.

18-20′ – If coral is what you’re after, this reef is for you. This shallow patch has absolutely incredible stands of stony coral. Massive starlet coral, symmetrical brain coral, knobby brain coral, elliptical star coral. This site was named after our in-house coral doctor, Dr. Kylie Smit

20-25 foot dive – This is a very purple reef (“morada” means purple in Spanish). From the flowing purple gorgonians to the swaying purple soft corals, this site is a customer favorite if you like a lot of color. This site is also home to Bonnethead sharks for the better part of the year.

A vibrant patch reef just off the shore of Islamorada in the Florida Keys. This dive site serves houses thousands of fish, coral, and larger marine life such as sea turtles, sharks, and rays. The top of the reef is about 15 feet while the sand is between 20 and 25 feet, so also good for snorkelers. Mooring ball.

Within easy reach of Islamorada dive shops, this site is a uniquely shaped patch reef with lots of interesting macro opportunities. There is even a resident turtle named Steve.

Huge schools of rainbow, midnight, and blue parrotfish off the west side. You will typically find green eels and nurse sharks under the ledges of this patch reef.

18-25’ – This shallow sprawling reef is a great place to explore. Follow our guides to the best hot spots this reef has to offer. You will see beautiful schooling fish, sharks, several species of eels, turtles and more!

A deeper reef site with several uncommon species. 40-65’ (13-20m) with a nice range of coral. Located just off the southern tip of Islamorada. Suitable for all level of divers.

30-50’ – Not as deep as Crater but with similar features with a sandy area surrounded by spur and groove coral fingers. One of the few places we have seen batfish.

This small patch reef is surprisingly packed full of life. In addition to huge schools of tropical fish, you will find sharks, eels, lobsters, crabs and more under the ledges on the outskirts of the reef.
