If you want to make the most of your bottom time and have more fun on your dives, try underwater scooter or DPV diving. Your legs can only cover so much distance before you get low on air. But underwater scooters and diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs) put an end to that problem. With scooters and DPVs, you can enjoy easier dives and lower air consumption, so you can explore for longer and further, following your nose wherever you choose to go. In this underwater scooter and DPV course, you’ll learn the skills and concepts you need to safely plan and conduct dives using scooters or DPVs. You’ll learn the special precautions needed for using DPVs, how to maintain buddy contact and control your equipment, so you can safely enjoy the new dive experiences DPVs provide. Upon completion of this program, you’ll earn the SSI Scooter/DPV Diving Specialty certification and be able to dive up to 30 meters deep with a scooter or diver propulsion vehicle.
