Extended Range Sidemount Diving

Are you ready for better streamlining in the water? Take the weight off your back by joining SSI’s Extended Range Sidemount program. This course will teach you the proper sidemount setup and techniques required to use a sidemount configuration efficiently and effectively with multiple stage cylinders.

Facts and Training Standards

Exploring an overhead environment like extended caves and large wrecks is an exciting endeavor. However, squeezing traditional dive equipment into the tight spaces found within these areas can be challenging. Improving streamlining using a sidemount configuration allows adventurous divers to free themselves up to explore more constricted places than ever before.

The Extended Range Sidemount program trains you in proper sidemount setup and the techniques required to efficient and effective use multiple stage cylinders carried for decompression diving in a sidemount configuration. You will earn the SSI Extended Range Sidemount certification after completing this program and can then apply that configuration to all other XR programs.
