An extraordinary creature at the lowest point of the Indian Ocean

Newly discovered species in the Java trench: alien and mysterious The research team of Five Deeps Expedition has dived for the first time with a submarine to the deepest point of the Indian Ocean: the bottom of the Java  Trench at 7,192 meters. There, the researchers made an amazing discovery that they captured in a video. The fact that the depths of our oceans are still largely unexplored and still hold many secrets is a truism. Now, the researchers in the Java Trench have found such a secret floating in front of the camera lens that no human has ever seen. The shots show an extraordinary, gelatinous blue creature dragging something like a long thread and floating above the ground. Distantly it reminds of a jellyfish. The researchers are sure, however, that it is a sea squirt species. "Not often do we see something so extraordinary that it leaves us speechless. We're not sure what kind it was, but we'll find it out in due course." Jamieson Senior Scientist of Five Deeps Expedition said. Five Deeps Expedition is taking deep dives to document the Discovery Channel with the most powerful manned submarine "DSV Limiting Factor" on the planet today - Victor Vescovo is the only one on board with each dive.
