SSI Tech XR Programs
Advanced Deco is a twin stage course that focuses on managing the risks of decompression diving by using three or more independent gas mixtures for the various phases of the dive. This course can be completed as a Deep Air class with the same range as Deco Procedures. OR TRIMIX divers (including divers combining this course with Normoxic Trimix) can push the range of this course to 65 meters. This course is a prerequisite for Hypoxic TRIMIX.
Extreme deep diving poses several risks for divers. First and most prevalent are the debilitating effects of narcosis but the viscosity of air can also make it difficult for a regulator to perform and a diver to breathe at extreme depths. The TRIMIX diver courses focus on managing these and other risks by utilizing a lighter gas with minimal narcotic properties to allow training dives as deep as 100 meters. The Normoxic TRIMIX diver course has a 60 meter (65 meters if combined with Advanced Deco) limit, and uses bottom gases that can be breathed as shallow as the surface. Extended Range divers are allowed to skip Deco Procedures and enter this program directly if they do not want to dive deep air. Normoxic TRIMIX is a perquisite for Hypoxic TRIMIX. Hypoxic Trimix You will learn the procedures for using Trimix blends with any safe helium/oxygen concentration. Training dives will be conducted to depths as deep as 100 msw/330 fsw and multiple gases including hyperoxic gas blends will be utilized to complete stage decompression stops. Hypoxic TRIMIX expands the range of gas mixtures available to manage oxygen toxicity issues as well as narcosis for extreme dives to depths as deep as 100 meters. The Hypoxic TRIMIX Diver is one of the apex courses in the world of extreme diving
This course is the intermediate twin set stage between cavern diver and full cave diver. Divers will focus on simple linear penetration techniques that are extended well beyond the limitations of cavern diving. Divers are limited to penetrations without major restrictions and within the limitations of their available gas supply. Both Extended Range and Cavern Diver are prerequisites. You must have either Basic Cave of or Intro to Cave as a prerequisite for full Cave diver.
This course is the next step for the Basic Cave Diver. The Cave Diver Course is a full penetration course for underwater explorers desiring to complete extended penetration dives in more hazardous conditions. The diver will expand their skills to include more complex navigation methods completing circuits and traverses in addition to negotiating major restrictions and other environmental hazards. The Cave Diver is one of the apex courses in the world of extreme diving.
This is a full penetration course designed for underwater explorers seeking to view the inner most reaches of both shallow and deep water shipwrecks. Qualified divers may participate in penetration dives during training as deep as 50 meters with the only limitation being a planned deco schedule and the gas supply. The Technical Wreck Diver is the third and final apex course in the world of extreme diving. © 2013, All Rights Reserved | SSI International | Contact | Legal Info | Diver Verification | Dive Professional Verification | Replacement Card | Sitemap |
