But only a few divers may have ever thought of taking the complete training in an Indoor Dive Center. This is possible with the SSI Indoor Diver Program and it provides a lot of advantages:
Students can continue their education straight after their Indoor Diver certification by enrolling Specialty Course programs in areas like Digital Underwater Photography, Perfect Buoyancy, Equipment Techniques and Shark Diving.
The possibilities are limitless and the participants do nothing twice as they can upgrade their status to Open Water Diver any time in one of the more than 2.500 SSI Dive Centers and Dive Resorts around the world. Once the upgrade is done the “Indoor Specialties” are credited towards all other Continuing Education Ratings like Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water or Master Diver.
Think of that… Indoor Divers may be even „Better Divers“ in the beginning! Participants had the chance to practice their diving skills for a longer period of time under controlled circumstances. This creates more comfort and safety. These divers might even have attended a few Specialty Course programs already what gives them an advantage in knowledge compared to a “normal” Open Water Diver. They can apply this knowledge straight on their first Open Water dives.
