The Blunderbuss was a steam-powered gunboat built in 1825. The vessel was 23.67 m long and 7.44 m wide. Powered by a 450 hp steam engine, it was armed with a 24 mm gun without directional aiming.

the famous chimney, which starts at -6 m and emerges along the drop-off at around -18 m, remains a unique feature of the Giens peninsula. Located under one of the most difficult capes to navigate in strong out winds, it marks the easternmost entrance to the Toulon harbor.
