SSI's Extended Range Foundations program offers you the opportunity to improve your advanced diving skills in a training workshop environment. Learn more about the use of technical diving equipment with whatever total system you are certified for and develop your basic skills to master buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, positioning and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides complementary training to existing certifications to improve your confidence and control in the water. All in-water sessions are conducted in a pool/confined water environment less than 40 feet deep. You will earn your SSI Extended Range Foundations certification upon completion of this program.

In this sidemount diving course, you’ll learn all you need to go single or two-cylinder recreational sidemount diving up to a maximum depth of 30 meters or to your certification depth, whichever is deeper. Sidemount diving is already common practice for wreck, mine, and cave divers, but now the benefits are being discovered by more recreational divers. With no heavy tank on your back, you’ll be more comfortable in the water and find your streamlining and trim improve effortlessly. By using less energy you may reduce your gas consumption so you can make the most of your dive time. SSI Full Cave Diving teaches you complex underwater navigation skills as you learn how to manage a traverse, jump, tee, and gap within a cave system. Performing advanced cave dives is as technical as it gets and will take you to exciting dive locations worldwide. Prepare to dive the deepest caves in the world by learning lost line, lost light, gas sharing, and lost diver procedures. Utilizing either an XR Sidemount, Twinset, or Rebreather Total Diving System, the Full Cave Diving program is SSI’s highest-level overhead environment certification, providing all the tools you need to explore the world’s underwater caves.
