Lina (Wreck) (★4.7)

The LINA is an iron ship built in England in 1879. It became Italian property in 1901 and worked as a freight forwarder in the Mediterranean. On December 14, 1914, it collided with the shores of Cres, where it sank very quickly.

Upon entering the sea there is a plateau ranging from -0,5 m to -12 m of depth (ideal for beginner divers and Discovery dives), after which starts the steep part of the reef which descends to a depth of about -40 m.

Three entrances offer a lot of variety.1: Directly below the Dive Center, here you can dive right or left shoulder. 2:50m N/E before the nudist beach you dive the wall right shoulder and at the marker back to the beach. 3:50m S/W this time dive left shoulder to the marker and back over the reef.

In the town of Moscenika Draga beach, locally known as Sipar beach, is a shore entry beach dive. It is accessed directly from the beach. The dive site is mainly within the protected swimming lines but the deeper section consists of a steep sandy slope extending down beyond 22 then shelving till 40m.

Coralligenous wall starting at 20 meters. Between 30 and 45 meters there is a spectacular forest of red gorgonians. Dive suitable for advanced or technical divers.

La Grotta del Grongo, Calafuria (★3.6)

One of the most fascinating dives along the Livorno coast, easily accessible even from shore. A large entrance at 23 meters leads into a very spacious cave, with the ceiling covered in yellow madrepores. The cave is home to a pair of conger eels, one of which is fairly large.

Il Nordovest, Calafuria (★4.1)

Here lies the highest wall of Calafuria: a remarkable drop that goes from 16 meters down to more than 40 meters in depth. Small anchors and worked stones found near the large wall show that ancient fishermen were already aware of this imposing rock formation.
