Chumphon Pinnacle
It's an offshore hidden root located about 20 minutes northeast of Koh Tao by boat. In a large pinnacle that looks like a long undersea mountain range to the north and south, you'll always see schools of termead trevally, called golden walls, on a springboard called Barracuda Rock. The maximum depth is over 40M, but it is about 35M at the base of the pinnacle and 15-18M at the top. At the top, you'll find a beautiful sight of a dense anemone sea anemone and dancing clownfish.
This dive site has a high rate of encounters with whale sharks and is a must-see dive site for divers. Large fish such as chevron barracuda, tornadoes such as bigeye trevally, rockfish, and stingfish can be seen consistently. In the shade of the rocks, you can see surprisingly large red groupers hiding.
