Diving in Espiritu Santo

Vanuatu diving offers an incredible array of both shore and boat diving. With a quick one-hour flight north to the island of Espiritu Santo, divers will find excellent shore diving sites like the famous SS President Coolidge wreck and Million Dollar Point, along with many other great wrecks and military sites. The SS President Coolidge wreck is so massive that it offers nearly 50 different dives within a single shipwreck. With depths of 21-73 meters, this impressive wreck is great fun for both recreational and technical divers. Diving on Espiritu Santo also offers fantastic underwater caverns and tunnels to swim through, which connect the thriving coral reef system.

Diving in the crystal-clear waters of Espiritu Santo is available nearly every day of the year, as the dive sites of this northern island are largely unaffected by weather. Water temperatures around the island average between 26-29 degrees C, and visibility ranges from 10m-40m at most dive sites.

If you are looking to do some land exploration, the relatively large island of Espiritu Santo is home to lush tropical forests that meet soft, white powdery beaches. Being on this island truly feels like you made it to paradise.
