Facts and Training Standards

The SSI CCR Hypoxic Trimix program provides divers with the knowledge and experience required to independently plan and conduct unlimited decompression trimix diluent dives to a maximum depth of 100 meters / 200 feet, using a closed-circuit rebreather with a minimum of three bailout cylinders. This in-depth rebreather program is both physically and mentally challenging, holds the highest level of accolade in the industry, expands your pre-dive safety check, and reflects your commitment and experience as a diver.

With safety at the forefront of the SSI training philosophy, this unit-specific program will provide more in-depth academic topics such as gas density, team bailout protocols, and expedition procedures to enable safe dive planning. This unit-specific program is available on the rEvo, SF2, AP, Poseidon, or JJ rebreather and only uses trimix as the breathing gas to reduce gas density.

Certification Options for the CCR Hypoxic Trimix course

If you are unable to complete your SSI CCR Hypoxic Trimix program because there is limited depth in your training area and dives beyond 80 meters / 265 feet are not possible, there is an 80 meter / 265 feet certification option which can be issued after completing the first four open water training dives.

You can upgrade to the SSI CCR Hypoxic Trimix 100 meter / 330 feet certification at any time in the future by completing the final two open water training dives.
