L'Hitdorfer See è un ex lago di dragaggio, con poco meno di 10 ettari di superficie, 473 metri di lunghezza e 273 metri di larghezza. La profondità massima è di 18 m. A causa delle rive leggermente inclinate, il lago è adatto per i principianti ad immergersi. Ci sono due piattaforme di allenamento a 6m e 10m di profondità.

Nel lago ci sono pesci persici, lucci, anguille, carpe, lasche e gamberi di fiume, oltre a cozze triangolari e cozze a canestro.
