Guhli Corner

Dhigu Thila lies in the pass between the local island of Gulhi & the resort of Anantara. A quite long thila, it boasts majestic sea fans, beautiful soft & hard corals, and a dense & thriving fish life. Marble sting rays, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, occasional manta, and good macro is what you can expect here

In the local language (Dhivehi), Miyaru means “shark“ and Faru means “reef“. Shark’s reef it is then, so it’s not too hard to guess what you can expect here !! White tip sharks galore, grey reef sharks aplenty, a few nurse sharks, less common leopard sharks too and even rare tiger sharks & whale sharks sightings!

Lumboa Giri is located quite close to Kuda Giri, and it’s a quite similar dive site, although smaller and without the wreck. A nice pinnacle, with an interesting configuration, it boasts nice hard & soft corals, a good fish life, and makes for an interesting macro option.

Il Kuda Giri è un vecchio relitto molto carino, accessibile a nuoto dal pinnacolo. Si tratta di un'immersione in barca con un eccellente, piccolo relitto seduto accanto a un giro molto ben stabilito (pinnacolo) con un sacco di piccole grotte e strapiombi.

Questo sito di relitti richiede una breve nuotata dalla vicina barriera corallina "Giri" per raggiungerlo. Questo relitto, ben conservato, è affondato nel 1994 e sta facendo squadra con la vita marina.

Small caves & overhangs that lies in the middle of the pass between Maafushi & Anantara Resort. Good fish life, and nice soft coral growing underneath the coral formations, tucked away from light and current, which can be quite strong here.

Si tratta di un'immersione a terra, profonda da 2 a 3 metri, lunga circa 200 metri, con fondo sabbioso con macchie di alghe, blocchi di corallo, e fa parte del progetto Maldive Passions Coral Growing Farm Project.

Named after a customer participating in a “search for new dive site“, Yaara giri is an easy dive site, with an interesting topography (wall, sand slopes, reef outcrops), decent corals and a good fish life. Occasional hawksbill turtles and white tip reef sharks can be seen here, on top of the usual reef fish.

Prende il nome dal vicino banco di sabbia dove i turisti "poco vestiti" di Maafushi venivano a divertirsi prima dell'apertura di Bikini Beach sull'isola. Bel sito d'immersione per macro & immersioni notturne, con corallo sano e buona fauna ittica. Le tartarughe sono presenti, insieme alle razze Mobula e all'occasionale squalo bianco.

Siete alla ricerca di una lunga immersione alla deriva? Questo sito di immersione si trova a 20-35 minuti dai centri di immersione. La maggior parte delle tartarughe marine verdi si trovano in cima alla barriera corallina in attesa delle tartarughe più pulite e per la vostra macchina fotografica.
