Gulhi Dhigu Thila

Although generally less dived than its northern counterpart (Miyaru Faru), Gulhi corner is a good option when oceanic current runs from the south east. A nice place to finish the dive after crossing the channel (coming from Myraru Faru corner). Some small overhangs with nice hard & soft corals. plenty of pelagics

Lumboa Giri is located quite close to Kuda Giri, and it’s a quite similar dive site, although smaller and without the wreck. A nice pinnacle, with an interesting configuration, it boasts nice hard & soft corals, a good fish life, and makes for an interesting macro option.

Το Kuda Giri είναι ένα πολύ όμορφο, παλιό ναυάγιο προσβάσιμο με μικρή βουτιά από την κορυφή. Αυτή είναι μια κατάδυση με βάρκα με ένα εξαιρετικό, μικρό ναυάγιο που κάθεται δίπλα σε ένα πολύ καθιερωμένο giri (αποκορύφωμα) με πολλές μικρές σπηλιές και προεξοχές.

In the local language (Dhivehi), Miyaru means “shark“ and Faru means “reef“. Shark’s reef it is then, so it’s not too hard to guess what you can expect here !! White tip sharks galore, grey reef sharks aplenty, a few nurse sharks, less common leopard sharks too and even rare tiger sharks & whale sharks sightings!

Small caves & overhangs that lies in the middle of the pass between Maafushi & Anantara Resort. Good fish life, and nice soft coral growing underneath the coral formations, tucked away from light and current, which can be quite strong here.

Named after a customer participating in a “search for new dive site“, Yaara giri is an easy dive site, with an interesting topography (wall, sand slopes, reef outcrops), decent corals and a good fish life. Occasional hawksbill turtles and white tip reef sharks can be seen here, on top of the usual reef fish.

Πήρε το όνομά της από την κοντινή αμμουδιά και ήταν "ελάχιστα ντυμένοι" τουρίστες από το Maafushi που συνήθιζαν να διασκεδάζουν πριν από τα εγκαίνια της παραλίας Bikini στο νησί. Ωραίο σημείο κατάδυσης για μακρο - νυχτερινές καταδύσεις, με υγιή κοράλλια και καλή ζωή ψαριών. Οι χελώνες είναι παρούσες, μαζί με τις ακτίνες Mobula και τον περιστασιακό λευκό καρχαρία ύφαλου.

Ψάχνετε για μια μεγάλη βουτιά drift; Αυτή η περιοχή κατάδυσης απέχει 20-35 λεπτά από τα κέντρα καταδύσεων. Ως επί το πλείστον πράσινες θαλάσσιες χελώνες είναι στην κορυφή του υφάλου περιμένουν το καθαρότερο wrasses και για την κάμερά σας.
